2020 AP Exception Testing Schedule and Information

As in prior years, we offered exception testing for the small number of students who were unable to take or complete makeup exams. The deadline to request exception testing has passed. There will be no further testing dates available for 2020.

Exception Testing Schedule

Below are the exception testing dates.

The unique security protocols that are required for this year’s online exams require all students worldwide to test at the same time. Students should look for their time zone in the table below or use this tool to see world time zones. AP students whose exam time falls between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. in their local time zone can read about nighttime testing.

Students in Arizona: Most of Arizona is on Mountain Standard Time, which is currently aligned to Pacific Time. Some areas of the state, including Navajo Nation, are on Mountain District Time. Be sure to check your local time.

Check in 30 minutes early: Use your e-ticket to check in to your online exam 30 minutes before start time. Make sure your device’s clock is right so you’re not late to your exam.

Review exam day information for your course: Visit Course-Specific Exam Information to learn what you need to have on exam day, what the exam covers, and more.
